Governor Signs Bill Restricting Smoking on Library Grounds

December 21, 2018 - Governor Cuomo signed a bill restricting smoking within 100 feet of any point of an outdoor area of a public/association library, except for residential property that falls within 100 feet of library entrances, exits, or outdoor areas. Vaping, or use of electronic cigarettes, is not included in this amendment to the Clean Indoor Air Act.

This ruling will take effect on on June 18, 2019.
