Every year, the American Lung Association grades states in fields related to reducing the negative impact of tobacco use. States are graded on Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Funding, Smokefree Air, Tobacco Taxes, Access to Cessation Services, and Tobacco 21.
This year, New York State received the following grades:
- Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Funding: F
- Smokefree Air: A
- Tobacco Taxes: B
- Access to Cessation Services: C
- Tobacco 21: D
